I know who I am now

I know it in my bones

Inside the living blood filled architecture

That is me

I know myself inside and out

I enjoy the sunshine

Just like anyone else

But it’s kind of sad

Drop the pretenses

Chasing our tails

Admiration is only tasty

When it’s got that crunch

Fresh and spicy

Right off the vine

Packs a nutritional punch

And fuels growth

But I’m asking you to do the opposite
